Could local tourism be a sustainable response to the Covid-19 crisis? Conceived as one of the core activities project CulTours supported by the Western Balkan Fund, Balkan Network for Local Democracy and the LDA in the Balkans organise five local virtual panel discussions aimed at discussing the potentials of local tourism as a resilient impulse to their local economies.
The Covid-19 crisis has heavily affected the touristic industry worldwide. However, for many European countries it has also represented an opportunity to relaunch the local cultural heritage.
Each panel discussion will host panelists from the cultural and touristic industry which will explore the topic of tourism as an economic response to Covid-19. They will discuss how micro-localities can use this period of travel restrictions to relaunch their local touristic activities within their own State and region.
