On the 14th and 15th of December 2016, LDA Kosovo has realized the workshop “Youth City - My City”, within the project “Balkan Regional Platform for Youth Participation and dialogue”, that had to do with the identification of some “youth spots” that were precised from the participants themselves in order to propose a final work (project proposal) to the local authorities, particularly those responsible for the urban planning of the municipality of Peja – with the aim to make those youth spots a reality.
The project in general with its youth platform tends to make and foster the young people to be more actively involved in the society with all activities performed, not only as active citizens, but also as people of great importance on the local decision making processes.
The Tutors of the group were:
- Florina Jerliu, director of “Archis Interventions Prishtina” and a professor at the Faculty of Architecture in the University of Pristina.
- Eliza Hoxha, director of “Urbaniak” and a professor at the Faculty of Architecture in the University of Pristina.
During the workshop, Mr. Modest Gashi, as an official from the sector of urbanization of the Municipality of Peja has also participated by having an open and fruitful discussion with the youngsters about the future plans of Peja and the city in general.
The Facilitators of the workshop were: Rron Beqiri, manager in “Architecture for Humans” and professor assistant at the Faculty of Architecture in the University of Prishtina and two LDAK collaborators: Dorentina Berisha and Granit Gashi.
