Between the end of July and the beginning of August, Local Democracy Agency Prijedor  organized a Youth Art workshop on the topic of "Youth problems in creative expression”.  The workshop was organized as a part of the project “Balkan regional platform for youth participation and dialogue”
23 young participants expressed their  ideas and thoughts by mixing photography and painting in the same product, hence giving space to boundless creativity and both abstract and direct expression.

The themes of the workshop were:
obstacles that young people face in the creative process;
influence of the environment on the creative process;
opportunities that environment gives  to young people to engage in creative work;
the support or the lack of support from society to individuals who are interested or engaged in some type of visual art;
whether the epithet of " town of painters " is justified for a place such as Prijedor;
the possibility of forming a group or collectivity of people who perform related activities:

The workshop took place  indoor in the offices of Local Democracy Agency Prijedor , outdoors (participants photographed different objects, buildings or  shapes in the city or in the nature) and  in the art studio.        
The workshop consisted of 3 parts:
1. Open discussion and elaboration of the concept of artistic expression 
2. Independent work on assigned topics, in the field and in the studio
3. Finalization, implementation and materialization of ideas

As a result of the workshop , around 40 works of art were created and these works of art will be presented to the public  at the end of August  as part of an open, public  exhibition . The five best works of art will be selected at the exhibition and they will be part of the " Youth Art - Traveling Exhibition ", which will take place in 8 cities across the Balkans .
