On the 30th July, 2015 Mostar Local Democracy Agency organized a focus group with local youngsters. This activity was part of a research carried out in the framework of Balkan regional platform for youth participation and dialogue.
Young people had the opportunity to participate in an open discussion. They were debating about concrete youth issues, such as: the opportunities and barriers they face every day; the real chances young people have to influence on their social engagement; effective participation in decision-making processes for which they are legally legitimated.
The purpose of the focus group was to complement findings of Survey and desk research. This research focus on: opinion and attitude of youth people regarding their role in the process of social change; existing opportunities and barriers to youth participation in their communities/countries. In particular it is targeting youth in vulnerable situations. The results of the focus group are confidential, and will be used to create recommendations for improvement of conditions for youth participation across the Balkans, as well as for creation of guidelines for development of future project activities.
