International Tool Fair “Waves of innovation” in Varna, Bulgaria

More than 100 participants delivered or attended tens of workshops and tools covering topics such as digital learning, internet of things, creative writing, virtual reality, designing environment, using Minecraft for educational purposes and more.

Ambassadors of knowledge - Knjazevac

LDA Knjazevac is working on another project which targets youth from Knjazevac. The main participants are elementary and high schools students. The main aim of the project is to train young people, more precisely 9 elementary and 6 high school students, to become young educators. The group was made from candidates, who applied on previously announced public call. The group went through a training titled "The techniques of educational theater" which was held during the summer.

7 LDAs and ALDA Skopje supported 20 local youth initiatives in the Balkans

20 initiatives created and implemented by around 100 youngsters from the Balkans were supported through our Local Youth Fund this year. Most of the 20 awarded youth initiatives were results of the work of non-formal groups. The Local Youth Fund supported youth initiatives and projects which explored the topic of culture and youth participation in the local community.

Council of Europe's congress examines the situation in City of Mostar

At its 33rd Session in Strasbourg, France, the Chamber of Local Authorities of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe organised a round table on the situation in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a reminder, City of Mostar and its citizens are in a extremely difficult position since the city council doesn’t exist since 2012 and no local elections have been held since 2008.

Cultural participation in the Municipality of Centar: Through culture to coexistence

A group of youngsters from the Municipality of Centar, Macedonia together with the volunteers of the Macedonian Red Cross Branch Center Youth Club, the members of the organization, “Mobility” and The Center for support of people with damaged sight of the Red Cross of Skopje, organized workshops for communicational skills, photography, sculpting and painting from the 29th of September to the 15th of October.

LDA Kosovo hosts Balkan Youth Forum: Cultural participation in the focus

The third Balkan Youth Forum took place from 18th to 21st October in Kosovo. 70 participants from 5 Balkan countries and 7 LDAs, together with ALDA Skopje were present at the event. The topic of cultural participation was discussed by representatives from Macedonia, Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. During the forum, the initial findings and result of comparative study on the same topic were also presented.

Youth Training Tool Fair: Cultural Participation and Intercultural Exchange

The Balkan Youth Forum 2017 was organized in Peja and Prishtina, Kosovo. The topic of the forum, which is being organized for a third time, is “Cultural youth participation in focus”. The event engaged 70 participants from the Balkans to attend panel sessions, discussions, debates, movie screenings, field visits and meetings with local authorities in the Municipality of Peja.
