On the 10 July 2020 at 2PM, the European Association for Local Democracy Agencies is organising a webinar on the topic Western Balkans’ local authorities in EU accession and the Berlin process.
This is a unique opportunity to discuss the channels of direct communication between the EU institutions and Local Authorities in the Western Balkans which remain very limited and rarely functional. In this light, the webinar will aim to answer what is the role of Local Authorities in the EU accession process of Western Balkans, how they can play a more significant role in regional cooperation, and how the EU can improve dialogue with local decision maker.
Alongside the introductory and conclusive speeches of ALDA President Oriano Otočan and ALDA Secretary General Antonella Valmorbida, the event will be moderated by Ivana Petrovska, ALDA Director of Skopje office & SEE Regional Programmes Coordinator, with the intervention of the following high-level speakers:
