On 17th April, a meeting was held in Subotica organised by the Ministry of European Integration, with the representatives of local government, CSOs and Regional development agency. This occasion was taken as the framework for the Community multi stakeholders platform activities within the project ‘’Regional Youth Compact for Europe’’.
The topic of the meeting addressed the process of public administration reform in the scope of the Action Plan for the Negotiation chapter 22, that is, the institutional framework for co-financing EU projects, as a significant element to the development and sustainability of civil society. Multi-sectoral cooperation was emphasized as a key to local development.
In this regard, the local platform aims to follow and monitor the reform process in themes relevant to the local community connecting the representatives of CSOs, local government and local institutions for a cross sectoral perspective in addressing the implementation of reforms. The meetings will focus on rule of law, good governance, employment, social cohesion and public administration reform. The issues that will be addressed will reflect the role of local government in implementing European standards and policies, and the role of civil society organizations in monitoring these reforms.
