Workshop "My City - Intercultural City" - started in October last year in the city of Prijedor as part of the project Balkan regional platform for youth participation and dialogue. The workshop was formed with the aim of introducing young people to different cultures in the city on the river Sana. The program of the workshop is based on the introduction of young Prijedor people with personalities and events important for their city. This program was attended by a large number of people, especially the youngsters part, which is one of the main goals of the workshop. The workshops were held once in two months.
During the workshops, a work plan was established, the important historical figures of Prijedor were separated and information was collected and edited for publication.
Participants of the workshop "My City - Intercultural City" say that they came to the workshop, the same way they went home - with a smile on their face. They also note that a positive atmosphere prevailed at the workshop, and the focus was on the creativity of the members and their opinion.
All efforts and work of the workshop were crowned by a meeting with the city authorities. The meeting with the city authorities was attended by the President and Vice President of the City Assembly Sead Jakupović and Goran Dragojević. At the meeting, the participants of the workshop "My City - Intercultural City" - a city of different cultures, presented a publication they prepared themselves that contains interesting facts about historical figures that left a trace in our city and influenced further development both of social life and of society as a whole. At the meeting, a proposal was made to create and promote publication in a event that could be realized this summer through the independent initiative of the informal group of young people who participated in the creation of this publication. Some of the figures that are covered in the publication are: Todor Švrakić, Pero Popović, Mladen Oljača, Sreten Stojanović, Esad Midžić and others.
