The second Regional Youth Forum for Local Democracy was organized from 16^th to 18^th November in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The forum was attended by representatives of local authorities, CSOs, youth organizations and youth workers. As part of the forum, cultural visit to the city of Mostar and a youth workshop was organized on 17^th November.

Youth Engagement Workers from five different Western Balkan countries attended the cultural visit and the workshop, which also explored the topic of culture. During the cultural visit, the participants were introduced with the cultural heritage of Mostar and its surroundings, including Pocitelj, Prebilovci and Blagaj.

The aim of the workshop was to offer youngsters cross-cultural perception of remembrance seeing monuments from several different points of view. The interactive workshop was facilitated by professional trainers, who worked with the youngsters in order to define the meaning and importance of monuments, referring to specific examples from the region.

“It was very interesting to see how youngsters present their definition of monuments and for me personally it was very good to listen to positive comments about monuments and the things monuments represent,” youth engagement worker Elena Lazova said.

The Regional Youth Forum for Local Democracy was organized as part of the Balkan Regional Platform for Youth Participation and Dialogue, which is funded by the European Union and supported by the Programme for decentralised cooperation France-Balkans and the French Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
