Third meeting of the local youth advisory group from Mostar













On November 19th, the Local Youth Advisory Group from Mostar held its third meeting this year in the premises of the Department of the social services of City of Mostar.

At the meeting it was confirmed that the City of Mostar intends to "institutionalize" the Youth Taking Over Day at the end of the project Balkan Regional Platform for Youth Participation and Dialogue as an activity that would be organized on an annual basis. It would imply a meeting of young people with representatives of the City authorities and provide them the opportunity to discuss the problems and to suggest the ways for improving the situation in the local community.

As the main point of the meeting young participants within the Local Youth Advisory Group stressed the need of having a multifunctional center for young people at the City level that would serve for socializing, learning and networking.

It was also agreed to brainstorm the ideas which would serve as the legitimate proposal for the volunteering engagement and scoring excellence enlisting while selecting the scholarship beneficiaries from the City of Mostar was also agreed.

The aim of the Local Youth Advisory Group Mostar, constituted of representatives of non-governmental organizations and youth activists, is to work together in the field of advocacy and realization of the main issues young people facing in the society and the local community of the City of Mostar.
