The first meeting in 2016 of the Local Youth Advisory Group (LYAG) Mostar was organized by LDA Mostar on 16th of March.
Considering that the composition of the advisory group amended and extended to new members compared to 2015, the participants were primarily familiar with the Project and the entire platform, its results, goals and future activities. They had the opportunity to personally present their work in the local community and beyond. Beside the representatives of LDA Mostar, the meeting was attended by representatives of Youth Council of the City of Mostar, Student Union of the City of Mostar, then the Association of young psychologists, associations Liberta Mo, which represents the rights of LGBT population and women's rights, and representatives of cultural institutions and associations, Croatian National Theatre, OKC Abrasevic, Association Vrisak, and the American corner Mostar. With a good atmosphere, productive discussions and exchange of opinions, the members of the LYAG agreed the next steps that will be taken in order to begin joint activities in the field of advocacy and realization of better position of youth in society and the local community, and in the city of Mostar.
It was concluded that the mandatory meetings of the Advisory Group will be 4 times a year (as a project commitments), but he optional meetings will be held every 6 weeks or even more often, depending on the actions and activities of the LYAG Mostar. Facebook group will be created aiming to facilitate communication, exchange of information, ideas and news. LDA Mostar leads FB page INFO POINT Mostar, which seeks to promote education, scholarships, workshops and involvement of young people in Mostar, and the members of the LYAG Mostar and their organizations are invited and welcomed to promote everything related to their work through our platform.
