The Balkan platform is great for understanding the diversity on the Balkans - Snezana, youth worker from LDA Montenegro

As part of our Internet awareness raising campaign, our Youth engagement workers take over our Instagram account every Tuesday and show us how it is to be a youth worker in their community. Snezana Milacic, youth worker from LDA Montenegro, took over the account on the 29th of August and prepared a video post where she is answering our questions about youth work.

- Dynamic, creativity, change-maker.

How would you define a successful youth ministry?

- Successful youth ministry should work for youth with youth.

What’s the change you want to see in your country regarding youth?

- Youth as equal actors in society progress.

Tell us about a positive youth initiative in your country that you liked.

- The initiative of NGO from Niksic „Punkt“ about re-establishment of City Orchestra that gave a great results and whole community was engaged.

What’s the greatest thing about Balkan Regional Platform for Youth Participation and Dialogue, according to you?

- Understanding diversity of the Balkan and in same time promotion of joint values.

7 LDAs and ALDA Skopje supported 20 local youth initiatives in the Balkans

20 initiatives created and implemented by around 100 youngsters from the Balkans were supported through our Local Youth Fund this year. Most of the 20 awarded youth initiatives were results of the work of non-formal groups. The Local Youth Fund supported youth initiatives and projects which explored the topic of culture and youth participation in the local community.

Ambassadors of knowledge - Knjazevac

LDA Knjazevac is working on another project which targets youth from Knjazevac. The main participants are elementary and high schools students. The main aim of the project is to train young people, more precisely 9 elementary and 6 high school students, to become young educators. The group was made from candidates, who applied on previously announced public call. The group went through a training titled "The techniques of educational theater" which was held during the summer.

International Tool Fair “Waves of innovation” in Varna, Bulgaria

More than 100 participants delivered or attended tens of workshops and tools covering topics such as digital learning, internet of things, creative writing, virtual reality, designing environment, using Minecraft for educational purposes and more.
