As part of Balkan Regional Platform for Youth Participation and Dialogue project, ALDA Skopje and 7 Local Democracy Agencies from Western Balkans are launching the Local Youth Fund Initiative.
The Local Youth Fund initiative is providing a grant for local youth initiatives developed by young people aged 16 to 35, living in one of the local community partner of the Platform: Prijedor, Mostar and Zavidovici (Bosnia and Herzegovina); Subotica and Knjazevac (Serbia); Niksic (Montenegro); Peja/Pec (Kosovo) and Kavadarci and Centar (Macedonia).
All formal and informal youth groups/organisations operating in the territory of those eight municipalities are eligible to submit applications for local youth initiatives that will contribute to:
- Strengthen capacities of youth (informal groups and youth CSOs) for active citizenship and participation in the life of their communities, and particularly in policy and decision making processes;
- Increase inclusion of youth with fewer opportunities in local activities promoting youth participation;
- Increase focus of public authorities in targeted communities on the needs of youth in policy-making and decision making processes.
The grants requested should be min 500 EUR and maximum 2.000 EUR. The total budget available for this action is 16.000 EUR.
Deadline for submission of applications: 30th July 2016 at 17.00.

The Balkan Platform for youth participation and dialogue is coordinated by ALDA and the 8 Local Democracy Agencies from 5 Balkan countries in order to improve youth participation in local public life and help create more favourable environment for youth activism in local communities across the Western Balkans.
