Since December 2016 LDA Subotica has become the Resource centre for Youth volunteering initiatives programme of the Serbian Ministry of Youth and Sport.

Through this programme LDA Subotica is in charge of management and distribution of funds for youth NGOs and non-formal groups from three counties in Serbia  (Northern and Eastern Vojvodina region), aimed at fostering youth activism and volunteering in the local communities.

In this framework, based upon the open call for project proposals, which was open until 15th January,  the evaluation committee selected 15 applications submitted by young people from 15 to 30 years of age, which will be financed and supported. Selected youth groups also participated in a project proposal writing training aimed at strengthening their capacities for project cycle management.

The contract signing with the representatives of selected projects took place on 18th of February in Subotica, announcing the commencement of the implementation period which will last until May 2017.

In this way, LDA Subotica has the opportunity to further upgrade the concept of Youth fund component developed within Balkan regional platform for youth participation and dialogue, and contribute to its sustainability through cooperation with the Serbian Ministry of Youth and Sport.
