The fourth meeting of the Local Youth Advisory Group (LYAG) was held in Mostar on 22 December. The meeting was organized by LDA Mostar as one of the activities of the project Balkan Regional Platform for Youth Participation and Dialogue, co-financed by EU.
Platform activities implemented in 2017 were presented to the Local Youth Advisory Group as well as the activities planned to be achieved for 2018. LYAG Mostar discussed the initiative to "institutionalize" the activities of the Youth Taking Over Day as a day intended to meet representatives of young people with representatives of city authorities, as well as steps towards establishing a small grant fund to be allocated by the City of Mostar.
The initial steps for preparing proposals for including the engagement and excellence scoring in the selection of City of Mostar scholars were agreed, as well as the proposals for amendments to the method of scoring and selection of volunteers in the Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. During the meeting activities of the initiative ‘‘Elect Mostar’’ were also presented.
The objective of the Local Youth Advisory Group Mostar, made of the representatives of NGOs and young activists, is to work together in the field of advocacy towards the realization of the better conditions for young people in the society and the local community in Mostar.
