From 8th to the 15th of July, ALDA Skopje carried out the youth exchange "The sound that brings us together" in Struga, Macedonia. Three organizations from different countries collaborated with ALDA Skopje and sent participants for the project. The participants were French speaking youngsters from Belgium, Serbia and Reunion Island (France).
During the exchange, the 40 participants were part of several activities. Among the rest, they created musical instruments from recycled materials and discovered the rhythms of the world by learning the traditional dances of every participating country. Тhe participants also visited some touristic sites in the region, such as the city of Ohrid and the village Vevchani.
The moderator of Belgium, Coralie Delcour spoke of the nature of the exchange by stating that "each exchange has a particular theme that reveals new aspects to understanding the culture of the other."
Ivana Dimitrovska, Director of ALDA Skopje said:
"I am very happy and delighted that young people from so distant countries have chosen to visit Macedonia and participate in this exchange in Struga."
The project was financed by the Erasmus + European program.
