Martin Ristić, a 28-year-old photographer from Knjaževac, a participant in numerous national and international exhibitions, is giving answer to these 5 quick photographic questions:
When did you start being engaged in photography?
I have been interested in photography since my childhood, but professionally I started working in 2010, when I bought my first camera Canon 550D. I was particularly interested in the Adobe Photoshop program for processing photos, which I started to use at the age of 12.
One of your first works became a part of the London Exhibition?
Yes, my photo was among the top 10 on the Sony Photography Awards 2011 and was exhibited at the World Photography Festival in London. In the photo is my cousin who was then the most rewarded model. She was relaxed in front of the camera and together we were creating a beautiful photos. The recognition I got at that moment was a great stimulus to continue to work in photography, and an indication that I'm going in the right direction.
What do you usually take photos of?
I like to take photos of people and I try to make as little influence on the model as I can. I'm capturing their spontaneous moments. I also like nights and macro photography. Taking pictures of meteors and the Milky Way is my passion.
Besides independent projects you're a member of Korrelo production. What do you do?
Korrelo production is a three member group consisting of Ivan, Milos and myself. It is a proven team for videos and music spots, as well as studio photography that requires bigger team.
If you could go back in time, what advice would you give to 20 years old yourself?
Martin, just take the picture don’t be lazy ass!
