Intercultural dialogue is a powerful tool and can be perceived as an instrument of prevent and conflict resolution. It could be also considered as process which require the involvement of several communities, where each of them manifests the will of going through the process using history, the past and cultural heritage as key points in order to get closer.

The European Association for Local Democracy (ALDA Skopje) closed the 2020 with an important event: The Regional Forum on “Remembrance and Intercultural dialogue” which took place on ZOOM, on 21st and 22nd December. 

On the 22nd December 2020 two online regional panel discussions were organised within the project “Cultours”. The virtual events discussed the topic of “Shared cultural heritage, factor for intercultural dialogue in the Balkans” and “Memorial tourism, potential for local development and cultural understanding”. The debates gathered around 40 participants, 9 speakers and 4 experienced moderators from the Balkan region and European Union.  

The online edition of the Regional Forum entitled “Remembrance and Intercultural dialogue” took place on 21 and 22 December 2020. The two days’ conference was organized entirely virtually using the Zoom platform to facilitate the interaction and online presentations.  All sessions were broadcast to Facebook Live and allowed a broad participation at the event.
