The Balkan Network for Local Democracy (BNLD) held an extraordinary General Assembly on the 9th of April 2020 - online on GoToMeeting Platform.
The members of the network were all present on the online GA, ALDA, ALDA Skopje , LDA Central and South Serbia, LDA Subotica, LDA Mostar, LDA Prijedor, LDA Zavidovici, LDA Kosovo, LDA Albania and LDA Montenegro.
Apart from standard administrative talk and discussion on different relevant topics, 2 important decisions were made on this General Assembly.
Stanka Parac from LDA Subotica, longtime SEE Regional Programmes Coordinator of ALDA was elected as a new President of BNLD. Under her experienced guidance, BNLD will continue to develop as a relevant regional actor and stakeholder.
Another positive decision made during the meeting was that Local Democracy Agency-LDA Albania joined our network, and became our newest member in BNLD.
These decisions will bring new perspectives for the network and will shape the future of the regional approach in a new and positive way.
Next face-to-face meeting of the BNLD members will be take place during ALDA General Assembly in Pula, Croatia in September, 2020.
