In October 2020, the organisation "Art Apart" organised four musical workshops with the youth. Each musical workshop had 5 participants. In addition, one online workshop has been recorded and distributed to the participants. Art Apart worked in smaller groups, plus individual exercises with online material, as a COVID-19 precautionary measure. Music and peer learning are used as meaningful and universal tools for learning, psycho-social empowerment and social integration.
The promo visual for the workshops has been posted on Art Aparat’s FB page (https://www.facebook.com/artaparatbelgrade/). Since nursing homes are partners on the project, and they were in quarantine for some time, the adaptation process had to take some new turns which was challenging. Plus, the cooperation has been established with SOS Children’s Villages and their Strong Youngsters Centre, with the aim to include their beneficiaries in the workshops.
This activity was organized by “Art Aparat” form Serbia implemented by the Center for Democracy Foundation in the framework of the project Regional Youth compact for Europe.
The project “Regional Youth Compact for Europe” is a three-year project implemented by Center for Democracy Foundation and 13 partners. The project is funded by the European Union and co-funded by Balkan Trust for Democracy.
